Microsoft Dynamics ERP Selection - GP, AX, NAV, SL, CRM

SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

Selection of Microsoft Dynamic ERP GP, AX, NAV, SL, CRM

Any company can find a suitable product for its business necessities. One might wonder why Microsoft has released four products that are basically doing the same thing. Although their purpose is the same, the products differ slightly and the differences make them more appropriate to be used by a certain type of company. Microsoft AX for example has features that make it the best choice for companies with several divisions, while Microsoft SL is perfect for project based companies. Similar features that can be found in all Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions include financial management, human resources management, supply chain management and IT management, among other things. The entire Microsoft Dynamics ERP selection is easy to use, compatible with other applications and highly flexible and adaptable.

Microsoft GP, formerly known as Great Plains, is designed for meeting the needs of midsized companies. It is very flexible in what concerns the business processes and besides all the features the whole family of Dynamics products have, it is also compatible with BizTalk, MSMQ and web services for data integration and incorporation. It is probably the most flexible product from its family.

Microsoft Dynamics AX is the best ERP solution for large companies that have divisions in different locations. It helps having compliant business processes in all the locations and its features that allow working in different languages and with different currencies are very useful. It also allows users to manage the web store, the warehouse and the distribution.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV is appropriate for small and midsized companies. It is adaptable and it can easily be customized to meet every need the company might have. It has a user friendly interface and a feature that makes it extremely easy to be used by almost anybody. The feature called role center hides all the fields and buttons that are not used and only leaves on the screen those that the users needs.

Microsoft Dynamics SL has features of project management and project accounting which make it suitable for project based companies. Choosing and ERP solution for such companies can prove a little difficult because there are some particular options needed. Microsoft SL has them all and allows managing different project from different locations. It is also suitable for distribution companies because it can be of help in managing the inventory and reducing redundancies.

Microsoft Dynamics provides separate software for CRM. It is helpful in taking best decisions regarding sales and it allows salesmen all over to access information through any web browser.
